Experiencing a change in your life that results in needing someone to talk to is simply being human & it does not make you "crazy.” The reality of this statement is that anyone of us at any moment are vulnerable to a change in our mental health. It could be from an injury, an illness, a death, drugs, alcohol, a relationship, environmental issues or a genetic precursor that has been lingering for the right stressor to trigger its appearance. Most people can benefit from mental health services and use therapy to transcend their current coping skills and thoughts about themselves while improving relationships with those around them. Therapy enriches, teaches, and encourages a person to use themselves as a tool to their own wellbeing. I believe in therapy & if a person is open to exploring themselves that real change can occur. I use a blend of approaches during therapy because I cannot say that each person is one size fits all. I believe in individualized treatment.
